Stunna was born in Daveyton, South Africa, to a Christian family that encouraged her to sing in the church choir. His mother was a vocalist, while his father had a jukebox. On weekends, he spent time at the pub, where he was exposed to a variety of genres, including RnB and Kwaito.

Despite the fact that his transition from Daveyton was difficult, Stunna concentrated on his schooling at the time since he learned so much in school and was able to use some of it in real life. Despite his rising prominence, the ecumenical teaching instilled in him by his Christian parents encouraged him to remain humanitarian and decent.
Stunna’s mother, a singer who grew up listening to Brenda Fosa while his father was into Kwaito at the time, also inspired his interest and progress in music.
Stunna received his education in South Africa, where he attended Jephtha Comprehensive Secondary School, honed his skills by competing in various talent hunt shows and contests. He then went on to Coventry University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering to further his education.
